This is how we do interior painting!!.

Preparing the interior area

1.- Getting ready the work area.-Our Interior painting professionals will carefully move and cover your furniture in order to avoid any damage to your belongs. Also we’ll cover with plastic and tape everything that can’t be detached from the surfaces to work with like fans, lights, cabinets, etc. then we remove the outlet covers from the wall.

2.- Mudding.- We know that due to setting of the home there are cracking walls, or some walls have uneven areas, nail holes or just any hole made accidentally. At WY painting we take care and fix this by applying from one to three coats of mud, having the patched area floated out to blend in with the surrounding wall.

3.- Sanding.- We know the importance of having a smooth surface that blends in well to the surrounding wall, so we invested on specific tools to sand the mud in order to achieve the best results, that way we avoid human errors.

4.- Priming.- After sanding, we prime the areas mudded so we can get a consistent and uniform finish area at the end of the project.

5.- Ceiling.- Now it’s time to prepare the ceiling, for that we oil prime those areas in which there are water spots, this commonly found due the roof leaks or second floor restrooms leaks. Sometimes when the house has significant nicotine due to smoking or a house fire we apply Shellac-based primer to block out any stains.

Now the fun part, applying the coat

Ceiling.- commonly the ceiling is painted in white and it requires one coat of paint. If needed we apply a second coat to it. We cut the perimeter of the ceiling and around anything attached to the it like a fan, recessed lighting by brush.
Trim.- In order to guarantee the best result cutting straight lines, we tape off the floor area adjacent to the base board to avoid painting it and making it easier to paint.
Walls.- We tape the top of the baseboard and around any door frames to guarantee straight and clean cut lines. Once we have cut with a brush, we apply the first coat of paint with a specific roll that will guarantee the best results. We keep working on other areas until the wall is ready to receive the second coat of paint. We always apply two coats of paint on walls in order to get a consistent finish.
Removing the tape.- After a whole day, now that the paint is dry, the tape is removed so we can get a clean peel-off.

It’s time to clean

The final stage of our job is to clean up, taking all our tools out of the house and wash them. We remove the dirty plastic and cloth covers used to prevent damaging our customer belongs. We put back all the outlet covers and walk around the house to check for touch-ups. Finally we put back all the furniture and present the job to our customer.

During the whole process, we keep constant communication with the customer in case of specific requests. The foreman is the person in contact.
